Community and Wine Tasting

What is a Wine Share?

Basically, it is like a potluck for wine tasting.   Everyone brings a bottle they would like to taste and shares the remainder with the other guests who do likewise.

Any wine that is still corked at the end of the event is given to the host(s) as a thank you gift for their hospitality.

If there are left over snacks, please ask the host before taking anything.

The Belltown Wine Share is about community development, awareness, friendships, and great wine.

The Belltown Wine Share location changes from month to month to include more people and learn more about our community.

Drinking is not required.   Talking to your neighbors is required.  Feel free to bring something else to share.   The main thing is to mix and be sociable.

There is a short announcements break where we thank the host and hear other announcements about Belltown events.   Announcements need advanced approval.

The Belltown Wine Share is not monetized in any way.   The email list is private and not shared.

Comments, feedback, ideas and suggestions are welcome.  Email:  Winekey@BelltownWineShare.com

Frequently Asked Questions?

May I bring a guest?  Sure, but review the rules with them

May I invite people?  That depends.  Yes, if they live or work in Belltown.   Otherwise make other arrangements.

May I bring a pet?   No.  We would need explicit permission from the host for that.

May I bring under age people? No.  This is mostly about State Law.  Also, keeping the crowd size down.

May I bring liquor?  No. It is really not that kind of party.  Please stick to wine.

May I smoke?  No.  That is something for the sidewalk, down the block.

Do I need to RSVP?   Maybe, that is the host’s decision.

Will there be food?   There are usually some snacks.

Do I have to drink wine?  No.   No questions asked.

How serious is the Wine Tasting?   Not that serious, it is more about mingling and networking.

What kind of wine should I bring?   That is up to you.  Something you would normally share with friends.

Why is it only 6 to 8 PM?   It is usually a three hour event for the hosts and we need to respect their time.

May I take leftovers?   No.  Only if you have permission from the hosts.
